The mission of VSF-B is to Improve the welfare of vulnerable populations in developing countries, through improving animal health and production. Indeed, VSF-B believes that the animal is a factor for sustainable development in a world where Earth, Animal and People  are inseparable links of the same chain of life.

VSF-B’s approach is based on partnership and capacity building in both development and emergency aid. VSF-B is convinced that the strengthening of local capacities is the most effective way to achieve sustainable development so that the target populations can take responsibility and become less reliant on outside help.  VSF aims to help local partners to develop their own capacities so that they can utilize their own knowledge and find solutions which have increasing impact and benefit for the target populations.
