A visit to schools, youth clubs and associations
A vet to stand up in class, at a world day in a youth club or for an information evening at your association or club? Vétérinaires Sans Frontières (Vets Without Borders) is happy to provide the necessary support, as well as enthralling teaching materials. Vétérinaires Sans Frontières believes it is particularly important that young and old alike should know as much as possible about life in developing countries. Which is why we go out to schools, youth clubs and associations to talk about the third world, about development and cooperation, and about the importance of solidarity between the developed world and those countries that are only now developing.
Information and education are the first steps towards greater involvement between people. Supportive and responsible citizens are the essential bedrock for organisations that operate in the third world. Information can enable people to take action for developing countries and the local farmers, as well as achieve a sustainable and just world.
Animal-based theme
Vétérinaires Sans Frontières organises information sessions in veterinary faculties and at the Planckendael animal park, we have a hut in the African village. We are also often asked by schools to develop an exciting educational package and are now working with a specialist partner to produce such a tool.
Vétérinaires Sans Frontieres animal-based theme is an attractive subject for children and young people. Programmes about animals on televisions also score well and the profession of vet is becoming increasingly popular. The educational range of items provided by Vétérinaires Sans Frontières represents the ideal opportunity for the public at large to become acquainted in an enjoyable manner with development and cooperation work in general, and with the challenges of the African livestock owner in particular.
