Vétérinaires Sans Frontières with no vets? It’s unthinkable!

Vets represent our most important supporter base. Because of what they do, they automatically feel involved with what we do. First and foremost, we can rely on them for disseminating information. They support us by placing brochures and posters in their waiting rooms. We keep them up to date with a quarterly VSF newsletter, as well as a whole heap of other programmes aimed specifically at vets. As privileged members of Vétérinaires Sans Frontières or of the Board of Directors, they can also take part in working groups and symposiums.

Many vets ask us if they can visit a project or work with us for a short time. Unfortunately, due to the highly specific way in which we work, we are unable to grant them their request. Nevertheless, they are able to support us in other, sometimes unusual ways. For example, when they get married, some vets ask for no gifts as such, but instead prefer donations to be made to our account number. Through their work, and also via family and other contacts, they disseminate a great deal of information about the way Vétérinaires Sans Frontières operates. In brief, vets play an enormously important role in making people aware of Vétérinaires Sans Frontières in Belgium.
