Membership VSF

If you are interested to actively support our organisation, it is possible to become a member or to make a donation. Your contribution will help us to continue our ongoing programmes in the Sudan, Kenya, Rwanda, Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, Mauritania and the Comoros.

What is the difference between a donator and an effective member?

• Donators are free to transfer any amount they wish, to support VSF and its activities. Donations of over 30 euro per year give the right to a tax refund -for people paying tax in Belgium - depending on the amount donated.
• Effective members pay an annual membership fee of 25 Euro. This fee does not give the right to a tax refund. Through this contribution the members indicate their wish to contribute in a more active way to certain activities, like working groups and other divers events. Additionally the effective members are invited to the annual general meeting where they have voting right. The general assembly is the most important decision making body in our association. Its role is therefore of great importance: appointment of members of the board, approval of the annual budget and the accounts of the previous year, participation in determining the large strategic direction the organisation needs to take.
